High School

Raymond Febus - HS Science

I was born in South Korea and was adopted when I was 3 months old by an American family living near Portland, Oregon. I gave my life to Christ when I was a junior in high school and do my best to faithfully follow and serve Christ today. I went to the University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington and received my Bachelors of Science degree in microbiology. After completing my undergraduate degree I began doing research at NOAA for 2 years, then switched to another biotechnical company developing anti-cancer drug treatments. Finally, I went to UCSF Orthopedic Surgery Department doing MRI research. I came to Korea and received my Masters in Developmental Genetics and have worked at a kindergarten teaching science, gym, and cooking before coming to ICSP.

Rebecca Gaul - HS Math/HS Lead Teacher

Miss Gaul is ICS-P's high school math teacher. She began at ICS in 2014 and is teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, PreCalculus, and AP Calculus. She graduated from Asbury University in May 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Math Education. She received her teaching certificate from the state of Virginia to teach 8th - 12th grade math.

Amy Thornton - Mandarin Teacher

Mrs. Thornton graduated from Guangxi University of Nationality in 2007, with a degree in Teaching Chinese as Second Language. She has taught in Thailand for 6 years. She is a Chinese native, born in Guangxi Province.

Ryan Kolbe - HS Social Studies

Mr. Kolbe graduated from Taylor University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Studies Education. He currently holds a license from the State of Indiana to teach secondary Social Studies with an emphasis in World Civilizations, World Geography, and United States History. From August of 2005 to June of 2009, Mr. Kolbe taught at the International Academy of Suriname in Suriname, South America. He currently is in his eighth year at ICS-Pyeongtaek.

Alisa Bé - HS English

Dr. Bé received her B.A. double majoring in English and International Relations with a minor in Philosophy from Flinders University in Australia and her M.A. in English Language and Literature from Pusan National University. She continued her graduate studies at the University of Miami, completing her M.A. and PhD in English, specializing in nineteenth-century British literature and culture. Before joining ICS-P, she taught composition and literature at the University of Miami. She enjoys practicing Tae Kwon Do, listening to classical music, and reading.

Barry Wolfer - MS & HS Bible

Hailing from the temperate paradise known as Oregon, Mr. Wolfer feels right at home amidst the rice fields of Pyeongtaek. With a deep desire to learn the world around him, he also feels right at home studying the Bible alongside students. He desires to pursue God and truth and looks forward to continuing life's journey with the students at ICS-P. Despite a lifetime of learning and studying, Mr. Wolfer has few things figured out, but rests contentedly in God's sovereign control.

Middle School

Jonathan Edwards - MS Science & Math/MS Lead Teacher

Jonathan Edwards graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors degree in Social Work and is currently working on his Masters degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. Jonathan has his certificate to teach from Oklahoma. Jonathan enjoys teaching middle school students as they grow in their independence and responsibility in order to succeed in high school.

Jon Greener - MS English & Bible

Jonathan Greener is the MS English and MS English Language Development (ELD) teacher at ICSP. Also, he is the head boys' basketball coach. This is his third year at ICS-P and this year he will have two young Conquerors at school with him-- Eva (G3) is being joined by little bro, Nate (K5). Mr. Greener has a Master's of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Seattle University & a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts (certified to teach 4-12 English, journalism, speech, drama, & coach sports) from Washington State University. He has over 10 years of English teaching experience in Korea and this will be his 5th year teaching at an international school on the peninsula. Coach Greener is looking forward to a great year at ICS-P in the classroom and on the court! GO CONQUERORS!

Ricky Hannings - MS Social Studies & PE

Mr. Hannings is from Knoxville, Tennessee, home of the Smoky Mountains and the world famous University of Tennessee, from which he graduated in 2011. He worked for 3 years with elementary children at an After School Program before finishing his Masters of Education in 2014. He has taught for three years--one year in Tennessee and 2 years now at International Christian School. He enjoys playing games of all kinds, and is passionate about connecting students to the past and present and ultimately to the person of Jesus Christ.


Tina Cho - Kindergarten

Tina Cho has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Faith Baptist Bible College and a master's degree in Effective teaching, learning, and leadership from Drake University in Iowa. Before moving to ICS Pyeongtaek, she taught for 11 years in the U.S. and one year at ICS Uijongbu, South Korea. Tina is also an author and enjoys creating a passion for learning in young children. Most of all, she loves teaching kids about God.

Amanda Hunter - First Grade

Ms. Hunter was born in Atlanta, Georgia and was raised in the Bermuda Islands. She graduated from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina in 2008, with a B.A. in History. She moved to Korea shortly after graduation in 2009, and has taught English in Korean preschools for 6 years in and around Seoul before pursuing certification as an early childhood instructor. Ms. Hunter returned to school in 2015 to complete a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Studies at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia. She is excited to be a part of the spiritual and academic journeys of each one of the fantastic, first graders this year!

Alexi Dather - Second Grade

Alexi is from Conway, Arkansas, where she graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in December of 2015. She is certified in PK-4th. After graduating from UCA, she was the director over a summer reading program as well as an after-school tutoring program through a non-profit organization called City of Hope Outreach. She has a passion for teaching and helping students to see the value and potential in themselves and others.

Janet Colgain - Third Grade

Miss Colgain grew up in northern Virginia and holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Cedarville University. She taught in Uijongbu for five years, Virginia for four years and is happy to be back in Korea once again. Miss Colgain enjoys watching sports events, baking, and singing Bible songs with students in the classroom.

Laura Johnson - Fourth Grade

Laura has a desire to help the future leaders of our world to love learning and to love people. I want to help all my students to succeed and to reach their goals. She feels that it is her obligation to teach her students to become independent thinkers and to be followers of truth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Johnson Bible College in Florida.

Hollie Gross - Fifth Grade

Before completing her B. A. Elementary Education degree from the University of Arizona, Hollie worked as a full time musician, writing for and teaching music to performing arts groups. She also served as choir director, and an artist in residence in several schools. Hollie is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students. She is the wife of a retired military member, a mother of four, and she feels blessed to be a part of the ICS family.


Romie V. Dale Amos - ELD Coordinator/Teacher

Romie (Dale) Amos was born and raised in Louisiana. After high school, she joined the Air Force where she began working toward a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Sociology. Dale finally completed her degree in 2004 after traveling around the world with her husband, Joe and giving birth to their three sons. She then worked as a Substitute teacher while she completed the alternate teaching certification program. She has received her teaching certification in Special Education (EC-12), English Language Arts and Reading (4-8), and General Education (EC-4). Dale taught in the States for 9 years before beginning her journey of teaching internationally the past three years; one year in Kuwait (bilingual school) and two years in China (IB school).

Kevin Copeland - K-12 Music Teacher

Mr. Copeland been an avid musician since the 5th grade where I picked up the trumpet for band. I have enjoyed being a follower of Christ since an early age but was rebaptized January 7th, 2017 in Philippi, Greece. I look forward to the positive year the music program is going to have this year.

Meredith Kennedy - K-12 Art Teacher

Miss Kennedy graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Judson University in 2015 and has done post graduate work at Northern Illinois University in Art Education. She teaches K-12 Art and Yearbook at ICS-P and loves all kinds of art and design. Miss Kennedy grew up in Eastern Kentucky, lived in Singapore, and moved to Korea from Chicago where she taught for a year and a half. She is so excited to be at ICS-P this year!

Ti Na Lee - Librarian

Mrs. Lee grew up in Washington State and graduated from the University of Washington with her degree in General Asian Studies in 2004. She, later, went back to school to get her masters in Education and TESOL in 2012. She likes to read biographies and books about history. Mrs. Lee is delighted to be at ICSP!

Young Song - PE Teacher/Athletic Director

Mr. Song (Coach Song) was born in South Korea and moved to the US during 2nd grade. He grew up in Massachusetts and attended Boston University, where he received a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and a Master's in Education at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst). Coach Song has over 12 years of teaching experience at various schools and has coached a wide range of sports. He is married with 3 children (Simon, Faith, and Lily). This will be Mr. Song's first year at ICS-P and he is looking forward to a wonderful, blessed school year.

Paul Gary - IT Director and Computer/Technology Integration Teacher

Mr. Paul Gary grew up in Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Design Communication from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He has taught art for 6 years in Korea, and 7 years in Thailand. He loves to play guitar and sing worship songs. He also loves technology and is excited to serve as this year's IT Director.
